Special Needs Considerations

1. If a learner has a medical condition that requires any special adjustments to the normal

course materials or examination practice, then the TDLC special considerations policy

will apply

a. Course materials. TDLC are committed, in line with the disability discrimination

act, to offer alternate versions of their materials so the learners receive no worse a

service for their disability. Learners should advise TDLC in advance of

commencing the course of the nature of their special consideration and TDLC will

put in place alternative arrangements where suitable.

b. Examination Practice. TDLC will ensure that, where informed, the learner

submits the RASC (Reasonable Adjustment/Special Consideration form to the

IAB at least two months prior to the intended date of examination in line with the

published IAB requirements.
